We are a modern engineering and manufacturing business based on the South Coast of England. The company was started in 2010 by Chris Whelan, to design, develop and manufacture high performance cooling systems for gasoline and diesel engines.
The design of our Active Charge Air Cooling systems has been developed with years of engineering experience with many OEMs and super car manufacturers. We supply complete systems to niche vehicle manufacturers and also to dealers and tuners supplying into the performance car market.
Chris Whelan is the technical brains behind the company. With decades of experience designing and developing engines, turbochargers and cooling systems for many of the top car manufacturers around the world, Chris is a practical and creative engineer.
He has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and worked for Rolls-Royce and Ricardo before starting his own engineering consultancy company.
In his spare time, he prepares and races historic Alfa Romeos and is seldom far away from an interesting piece of high performance machinery.
Steve Hinton provides the business and commercial expertise in the company. He and Chris met many years ago when they were in corporate life and since then Steve has started or been involved in many entrepreneurial ventures.
He is also an engineer by training, with a First Class Honours Degree from Imperial College, but for most of his career he has been in management and leadership roles. When not driving the ACT demonstrator vehicles, Steve is most likely to be found on his sailing boat or running on the Sussex Downs.
